Miami River Packrafting Tour
Miami is one of the best urban packrafting destinations in the United States.
Experience a history and packrafting tour in heart of downtown Miami.
Greater Miami is synonymous with beautiful beaches and towering palm trees ‐ but in its urban center, it's the cityscape of glittering skyscrapers over Biscayne Bay that gets all the attention. Diverse, dynamic, and densely populated, Downtown Miami and the adjoining Brickell area is a hub of international finance, dining, arts, and entertainment that no visitor should miss. Our packrafting tour will uncover the history of the Miami River, the city's history, and packraft trip through steel canyons of the Brickell financial district.
After a safety briefing, we will put in at the Underline River Room and continue our downtown tour by packraft. We will paddle east on Miami River- drifting under steel drawbridges, in and out of the shadows, beneath towering buildings in what's known as "Skyscraper Canyons" Overhead, luxury condos, day clubs, offices, and historical museums stand tall.
We will visit two of the city's most historical sites by packraft. Fort Dallas and the Miami Circle at Brickell Point is an archaeological site dating from 500 B.C. to A.D. 750.
Along the way, we will share the water with tour boats, commercial boats, and mega yachts. We stay clear of all traffic and safely paddle to Brickell Key. The water in between mainland Brickell and Brickell Key is always aquamarine, calm, and sets us up for a perfect "Skyscraper Canyon" experience! We continue paddling south and pass under Brickell Key Bridge to a wide-open view of beautiful Biscayne Bay.
